Macros

Macros are the most powerful tool of software. Quite often while working with a software you need to perform task repeatedly. In that case macros are very helpful. A macro is series of commands, keystrokes or other actions that are stored and given a name. Macro can simply be created by recording a number of actions. After recording when you run the macro then those actions are repeated. Using a macro helps to speed up the routine editing and formatting tasks, to combine multiple commands into one, and it also helps to automate a complex series task. Many application software, including MS-word, MS-excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-access etc. support macros. Macros can be simple containing a few steps or may be complex containing a number of steps. It may even include a macro allowing you to perform multiple task at a time. A macro created in MS-Word to perform the task such as find a word, replace and change its format. A macro created in CorelDraw to open a group of images files, adjust their color settings and prints them on individual sheets and a macro created in MS-Excel that selects a row of data, applies a specific format, and sorts the data.
