Visual FoxPro

Visual FoxPro is the most convenient programming language to write custom database software and database programming. It is a data-centric, object-oriented database and programming language, and it is best a client-server and Web-enabled application. Due to its royalty-free distribution it is economically better then SQL licenses and the DBAs who are required to keep them tuned and running. Visual FoxPro's data-centric language offers an ideal front end to any ODBC or OLE DB compliant database. Visual FoxPro is an object-orientation language that includes full inheritance and it has a unique interactive development environment and an interactive command window which reduce development time considerably over general-purpose languages. We can create report on FoxPro by using the FoxPro commands. A report in FoxPro can have any number of lines. To create the report we can select the field, their order and the records that appear in the report. The width used for a field in the report can be different from that used in the database files. Report title can be printed on every page or only on first page. The report can have page footer. The page size, margins etc. can be described precisely in a FoxPro report. Print styles such as bold, italic etc. can be applied to any part of the report. Calculations such as sum, average, maximum, minimum etc. can also be performed on the numeric data in a FoxPro report.
